PEANUT BUTTER

Peanut butter has protein as well as potassium — which lowers the risk of high blood pressure, stroke and heart disease. So remember if you roll the dice when it comes to your healthy always GAMBLEHEALTHY!

HIGH SODIUM

HIGH SODIUM over time, the extra work and pressure can stiffen blood vessels, leading to high blood pressure, heart attack, and stroke. It can also lead to heart failure. There is also some evidence that too much salt can damage the heart, aorta, and kidneys without increasing blood pressure, and that it may be bad for bones, too. Also watch out for any food that comes in a can. Remember healthy is wealth so stay healthy and #gamblehealthy

CALCIUM

Calcium is a vital mineral. Your body uses it to build strong bones and teeth. Calcium is also needed for your heart and other muscles to function properly. When you don’t get enough calcium, you increase your risk of developing disorders like osteoporosis, osteopenia, and calcium deficiency disease (hypocalcemia). #gamblehealthy

EAT MORE EGGS

Eggs are a very good source of inexpensive, high quality protein. More than half the protein of an egg is found in the egg white along with vitamin B2 and lower amounts of fat and cholesterol than the yolk. The whites are rich sources of selenium, vitamin D, B6, B12 and minerals such as zinc, iron and copper. On a personal routine I love to consume a boiled egg after I workout when I get home.

BREAKFAST ANYONE?

Apart from providing us with energy, breakfast foods are good sources of important nutrients such as calcium, iron and B vitamins as well as protein and fiber. The body needs these essential nutrients and research shows that if these are missed at breakfast, they are less likely to be compensated for later in the day. Eat your breakfast this morning guys and #gamblehealthy

FB_IMG_1506991830787.jpg

BUGERS DONT HAVE TO BE BAD!

Ever try substituting chicken for beef??? In general, red meats (beef, pork and lamb) have more cholesterol and saturated (bad) fat than chicken, fish and vegetable proteins such as beans. Cholesterol and saturated fat can raise your blood cholesterol and make heart disease worse. Chicken and fish have less saturated fat than most red meat. Remember if you roll the dice when it comes to your health always #gamblehealthy
